LANGKAWI ISLANDS
Located off the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia, Langkawi is an enchanting archipelago of 104 tiny deserted islands sprinkled over the emerald green Andaman Sea, and the first UNESCO Geopark in Southeast Asia, famous for rich geo-diversity, unique flora and fauna, and a fascinating blend of cultures.
A tropical paradise, Langkawi enjoys temperatures between 26°C and 33°C. While the dry season lasts from late November until early March, the sun rarely stays out of sight for more than a couple of hours even during the rainy period which makes the island a popular destination throughout the year.
The main island lures with white sandy beaches, magnificent limestone formations, mysterious caves and sleepy villages surrounded by idyllic paddy fields. 10 million years old rainforests and a labyrinth of mangrove channels teeming with wildlife make Langkawi a dream destination for nature lovers.
Walking up the stairs of a grand Chinese temple, you will hear from a nearby mosque the muezzin’s call to prayer, and if you were to pass through the darkness of a cave hidden underneath a Thai monastery, you will emerge in front of an Indian temple - able to experience sacred rituals and fascinating cultural festivals practiced by the Muslim, Hindu, Daoist and Buddhist communities throughout the year.
A myriad of activities from a scenic ride with a Sky Cab through a refreshing dip in a waterfall to a visit to one of the largest marine and freshwater aquaria in South East Asia make sure your stay is full of excitement. If you like to take it slowly while on vacation, an indulgent spa experience or a breathtaking sunset cruise awaits. Coupled with duty-free shopping and amazing food of any imaginable flavor - HOLIDAY OF A LIFETIME!!
